Have you ever had a surprise and secret so big that you are sure that you will explode at any time? Well I had one of those secrets recently and I didn't let it leak or explode at any point so that definitely helps my story.
The weekend planned was a quick trip down to Epcot for the wine and food festival. We arrived on Friday night and planned to head to the park on Saturday mid morning. One problem got in the way...rain, lots and lots of rain. Grant and I jumped in the car, literally ran through the NorthFace outlet, bought jackets for us all and got to the park shuttle just in time. There wasn't a real plan for the day we just knew there would be lots of food, alcohol and at some point a surprise would be waiting for one of us. We rode a few rides including Spaceship Earth which we all almost puked on. Why is it that I always forget how much I hate that ride?
All of a sudden Mike really wanted to take a picture, Grant was winking at me and after a moment of confusion...ding ding ding it is happening! We took a group picture and then Kari and Mike took a picture together and wait for it...
Oh yes, she had the typical girl reaction. Hands to the face,
a quick "are you serious" hug,
really weird laughter and she still hasn't said yes.
Oh and in true Kari fashion she also may have smacked him at one point.
As if the tacky tourist shirts they already had on weren't enough Mike whipped out their engagement shirts...how embarrassing for Grant and I to have to walk around with them wearing these for the rest of the day.
Enough of the lovey dovey stuff on to the dancing.
