Roaring in Animal Kingdom

Yes, it is official that these crazy little girls have been spoiled by the Mickey sightings this year, but we couldn't leave Orlando without one more stop.  This was the first time that any of us had been to AK and we thought that it was a great ending to our weekend.  No lines, overcast and a smaller park that would tire out the girls before our drive home.

Best part of the day was definitely the Safari.  Someone how we got really lucky and were pushed to the front of the line and were able to sit in the front rows of the first truck.  Did you notice how much I harp on the fact that we had no lines?  I don't know who enjoyed this activity the most because we were all grinning ear to ear.

love this pic, doesn't he look like a proud Daddy

A and P both liked the fish, but when the birds got too close to A she absolutely did not like that and we had to get out of there.
No doubt that the Mommy and P in this group loved this show, while A did not.  Penelope was bouncing, laughing and dancing while the giant animals came to the stage, but A would have preferred to go back and see Mickey one more time.
After a short train ride we were at the petting zoo, this picture is A begging me to let her get as far away from the animals as possible.  P probably would have loved it, but at this point in the day she was too busy running around and taking her shoes off to care.
If you zoom in on our little family photo you will see the terror in A's eyes, HATED Rafiki.
As soon as lunch was over it was definitely time to head home.  Everyone was tired, it started to sprinkle and we had dinner waiting for us at Grr's house.
I should also note that these trips are long overdue for their post because this little outing happened in February and I just found the pics on my computer, whoops.

Epcot State of Mind

Wake up Daddy it is time to see Mickey, AGAIN!  Oh yes, we went back for round two of the Disney Magic however this time we were off to see Mickey at Epcot and Animal Kingdom.  One shuttle ride from the hotel on Saturday morning and we arrived to a line to get into Epcot, NO WAY the Gasbarro's were early for something.  We were standing there waiting when I looked up and someone who looked familiar, but thought that there was no way with all of these people around do I see someone from college that I haven't seen in a decade.  Eventually I thought I will just say her name and if she doesn't turn around I will know for sure that I need to go get new glasses.  Surprise, it really was my sorority sister that lived a few states away.  A great way to start our morning.

First agenda item of the day was to find as many characters as we could and I must say that we had great success.  The girls were very patient in the short lines until Penelope decided that running around in circles would be much more entertaining.  So most of the pictures are of her running away from the characters and photo bombing other people.

Yes, that is Penelope rolling away

Adelaide's favorite part of the day was definitely Nemo.  She was scared at first, but eventually she warmed up and started having a great time.  P couldn't sit still through Crush talking to the kids, but there is no surprise there.
We went all the way to Orlando to play at the park, but this one was special because they were launching the OZ movie coming out.  There were carnival games where the prizes were flower seed packets and a few cute photo ops of course.  It did take a lot of convincing to get the girls to leave this area.

Epcot allowed us to travel the world which allowed A to scratch Norway off of her list of places to visit.  Poor little girl was terrified of the ride and I definitely felt like a bad parent for taking her on it.  It has been years since I've been to Epcot and I really didn't remember the ride and the fact that it was dark and had trolls jumping out at you.  Whoops, I'll try and remember for next time.

See you later Donald, thanks for the fun but it's my nap time and Daddy says that we have to go.
