Remembering the Weekends

My hope when the girls are older is that they remember not only the big vacations or the best Christmas present ever, but also the silly things that have happened along the way.  This was all part of the reason that I started the blog almost 5 years ago so that we could remember all of the little things that slip our minds.  It makes me proud to see the girls flipping through the blog books that I print every year, because I know many years down the road that they will be looking at these same books again with a little smile on their faces and probably a tinge of embarrassment because of all the quirky little things we have managed to capture over the years.  I just hope I can keep up because each year it seems to get a little bit harder.

Here the girls are at Family Fun Day at their daycare.  All of their little friends plus a bounce house, games and icees, wahoo.

And a few pictures from around town or maybe just the house.
Hanging out with Daddy

Did someone say pool time?

Oh Mom, I so want out of this crib and you took forever to get here.
Out to eat with all of the Mesick gang.

Oh girls, watch it.

Grr, what are they doing in there?
Adelaide and I had a special date on a Sunday afternoon all by ourselves.  We jumped in the car and went downtown to see Scooby Doo Live.  A didn't know who Scooby Doo was or what to expect, but she was game.

What are we doing here?  Oh yah, I forgot.

"Egg"stravaganza

Easter time has got to be our busiest few weeks of the year.  There are festivals, egg hunts, brunches, church, bunny visits and lots of lots of candy.  This year we hit a record breaking number of bunny stops and that was before Grant pulled the plug on our over planned weekends, whoops.

You will see that there is only one little bunny at this egg hunt and church festival and that is because baby bunny needed to take a nap after our other bunny activities that morning that we forgot to take pictures at.  Another whoops on this Mommy's part, just add it to the list.
At the festival there was face painting, balloon animals, games, cookies and a few friends to play with.  A loves going to these events and when we run into school friends it makes it that much more fun for her.  It always makes me laugh when she gets confused as to why she is seeing someone outside of their normal place.  Kind of reminds me when my mom had to explain that teachers have homes too and that they don't sleep in their classrooms at night.

When you ask A if she wants to go shopping she immediately responds with, we're going to Publix?  That's my girl!  The weekend before Easter meant a little shopping and an egg hunt.  She had so many eggs that I had to make her stop looking because her basket was overflowing and she was then throwing them into my purse.  See, there are perks to Mommy knowing lots of people in the stores.

After we got home sister was helping take inventory of the eggs, needless to say A did not like this.
Community egg hunt time in Eagle Harbor.  Lots of kids and a bunny this morning.

Holy Easter Bunny there are presents for me!  Our bunny didn't leave candy this year but "she" did leave a dinosaur, books and a doctor kit.

Egg'stra Special Easter Brunch this morning with the Easter Bunny himself.  Penelope spotted the bunny first and her shock was priceless.  By the time that Adelaide figured out what was going on their was no way we were going to be able to keep them in their seats to finish eating their brunch.  So the bunny hopped over and off they went.
After the bunny went off for a carrot break we walked around the golf club, took a few pictures and then walked home.  On the way home YaYa must have come down with a cold because the girls had to use their new doctor kit to make her feel better.  Once YaYa was feeling better there was time for one more egg hunt in the backyard.
