Happy Mother's Day

Grant and I aren't real gift givers to one another, we prefer to save our money for vacations so this year we had a great time celebrating ME with the people closest to us.  I was treated to a mani and pedi with my little girls and my Mommy, besides Adelaide dropping a bottle of nail polish that splattered everywhere it was a great little outing.

We've also been spending time with our favorite new mommy Melissa.  We had a day at the beach in which Adelaide didn't give Baby Natalie much space without being in her face.

You can't drive home from the beach without grabbing a popsicle on the way out.

We also had a picnic at the park.
Oh meatball, you are so silly.

Look at how beautiful this new mommy and her baby are together.
of course the boys and being little boys
We love this little family.

We love these weekends and I love being a Mommy!

Happy Birthday to EVERYONE

How many birthday parties can there possibly be within a few weeks?

First there was Hannah's Sweet 15 which was held at our house with about a dozen of her girlfriends. OK, so maybe it was only 10 teenagers in the house at one time, but the point is there was no drama or demands to turn music down or anything else along those lines.  As you look at the pictures you might actually be confused because you see a bunch of girls surrounding a certain two year old who was putting on a show for everyone.  The teens were really sweet and let P sing all of the Frozen songs she wanted to and I think the big kids liked an excuse to sing the songs too.

What do you mean this isn't my party?

Looked like dead bodies all over the living room when we woke up.

A friendly possum came to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY Hannah Boo Boo Child!

We couldn't just have a party for Hannah because someone else in the house was also celebrating a birthday, Brooke turned 12!  This party wasn't quite as large and I don't have many pics because the party was at the pool and then moved to the house for cake and a sleepover before they went right back to the pool the next morning.  Besides all of the light from the selfy taking amongst the girls these ladies were great to have in the house too.

Enough of those big kids, lets talk about our crazy neighbors who had 20 5 year olds running around their house for Clara's birthday.  This had to be the most organized party we have been to and one day when I grow up I am going to be just like Stacy.  She was able to get everyone fed, entertained and out before you knew it.

Silly string attack!

Good neighbors and good friends.
This isn't the end of the birthday fun, but we'll hold off on posting the next party because it was a bit of a surprise.

Always Something TO DO

Life is just crazy sometimes and I don't know how we manage to cram everything into our days.  When I take moments like this to go back through my pictures and try to catch up on the blog I am reminded of how much we do and that isn't even accounting for all of the events that we don't take pictures of and I end up forgetting about.  Here is a little sneak peek of some of the normal events we squeeze into our weeks.

Work as a whole has been particularly challenging for Grant and I recently.  This time of year is always rough for Grant at work and no matter how much you try to prepare his guys just can't beat the Florida heat.  On my side of things there is very little that I can do to try and get ahead.  The majority of my job is problem solving and trying to get that done quickly.  Usually it isn't a problem except when the "issues" seem to keep happening in other states.  Thankfully Grant is a huge supporter of my career so he makes a point to change his schedule in order to help me be able to pack a suitcase, jump in my work car and drive all over the place.

On a run in South Carolina while on a work trip for a few days...did I mention I have taken up exercise?  Oh yah, trying to cram that into the schedule as well, usually easier said than done.
Part of our HR group at a team building event in Lakeland.
Another work trip, this time to Savannah.  I wish I could say that after all of the trips I take to this beautiful city that I could be a tour guide, but the truth is I spend all of my time in my stores and manage to grab something to eat and take it back to my hotel room before passing out.
Weekends are all about the girls except for Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30 when Grant and I get our butts kicked at the gym.  There isn't a shortage of open houses, grand openings, bounce houses, community activities, parties and anything else you can think of for the little monsters.

Grant has to have a little fun too, a little obstacle course action.
The Mesick crew has now relocated to Louisiana, but before they did we had to get Penelope ready to go back to daycare full-time as she has been staying with her Aunt Net during the day.  Our little pretty girl was so excited for her transition day back at daycare and her parents were really excited when she came home and slept like a rock all night long in her own bed.

More weekend happenings here...

Little Ghostbuster

Couldn't resist, it was like sharing our childhood with the girls.
Who doesn't enjoy a train ride?
With everything shared in this post I would be remiss if I didn't talk about the relaxing moments of our lives too.  We live in a great little suburb of Jacksonville which means we have the amenities of a larger city, but then there is that moment when you cross a bridge, see the boats in the water, take a  deep breathe and say "yes, I'm home."
On my little evening jogs before it started raining every night.  This is the view at the end of my street.

Every once in awhile Grant and I get to go out on a date night too.  This time we took a cooking class with the theme being Argentina vs Brazil.  Fabulous food and we actually learned a thing or two though we haven't actually put any of those tips to use yet.  I should also mention that this was at the Publix Cooking School so I was able to cram a little work in at the same time, but Grant didn't mind, he was too busy eating to notice.

Good Friday and Good Friends

My husband says that I have a problem...I can't do anything small.  There was no surprise on Grant's part when my little gathering of friends on Good Friday turned into ummm 30 or so people running around the house.  Here is the part where I did wise up just a little bit...it was a pot luck so I didn't have to worry about cooking.  We love having people over all of the time and thankfully I have a hubby that understands my need to entertain.

Neighbors and friends, we have a great street.

One day I will remember to take some decent photos when everyone is over.
