All About the Weekends

In my house Grant is always complaining that there is always something happening on the weekends. I can't say that he is necessarily wrong in this case, but there are definitely some weekends that are busier than others.  The great part about living in our area is that there is always something to do.

Always time to do some weekend shopping with the cousins...
Poor Hannah always seems to have homework...
Oh and lots of fundraisers around town.  Sometimes you glaze donuts...

and other nights you dig out that cocktail dress from the back of your closet, drink wine and bid on items you absolutely don't need, but hey it was for a good cause.

I couldn't just talk about all of the fundraising events we go to, I also have to mention that when Auntie K goes out of town we sometimes find her favorite childhood toy and send pictures of him in compromising positions.
P really would have preferred if we let her cut his hair.
We hang out with Grr...
The really exciting weekends occur when we have extra special visitors come to town.  I don't have pictures of Grant and his dad at their annual baseball spring training weekend because we know they are too cool to take photos, but I do have pics of our fun with GG over the weekend.
First stop was to the Orange Park Town Hall for food trucks and movies on the lawn.  Sweet potato fries, fried shrimp, dessert and a little Mary Poppins is all you need on a Friday night.

That is until Saturday when you have a soccer game, an open house at daycare and a birthday party to attend.

Ok, so the kids weren't invited nor was it a birthday party, but Mommy sure had fun on her night out too!
The weekend of visitors isn't over yet because there were Girl Scout cookies to sell, a second soccer game, kites to fly and a little dancing in the backyard.

Sometimes I forget just how pretty our trees are until I look back at the pictures.

Now it is Sunday evening and we must rest...until next weekend.
