Have you ever noticed when you watch movies the very rich always say that they summer in the south of France? I now know why...Marseille, France! Our last stop of the cruise where we actually got off of the ship and it was fabulous. We picked a great day to visit as there was a music festival happening all over the city, when you would turn a corner you didn't know what you were going to find. As corny as this sounds my favorite find was the old man playing the accordion, that pretty much summed up my trip to France. It wasn't eating muscles by the water (I don't eat them, the rest of the gang did), the architecture or old churches, the accordion alone was enough to remind me of where we were on the map of the world.
We did an incredible amount of window shopping, grazed at all of the little bakeries and chocolate shops, bought lots of soap and really just took in the scenery. This local is a highly recommend!
