New Years Eve had to be the second coldest day of the year, which isn't great when you are wearing a dress. We really did try to dress up for the occasion, but at the end of the day our frozen toes weren't worth it, so we moved back to the layers before we headed out for the night.
Our evening was spent on the canals of Venice listening to a gondolier serenade us before eating dinner at a little hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Couldn't get much better than that.
