We Have a 1st Grader!!

Take a deep breath...Adelaide is officially in 1st Grade.  I know most people stress about K, but I was really excited last year versus this year in which I am a nervous wreck.  With all of that being said the supplies are bought, new backpack in hand and so much excitement that A can hardly stand it!!  

We get to the school for our intro to 1st grade and there were two huge surprises in that A was going to be in a portable this year which I should be used to considering that's what I was in in elementary school and the second surprise was A's best friend was in her class again, what a relief.  

On the first day of 1st Grade I woke up to a fully dressed five year old staring at me wanting to know if it was time to see Ms. Wells yet.  Here is the small miracle that others may not notice, but was a big deal for this mom...A didn't fight about wearing a dress or a skirt for two straight days.  A whole closet full of cute cute clothes and this kid will only wear shorts, jeans and sneakers, oh and baseball hats.  

We started our morning with breakfast at home and a hot walk to school.  The original plan was to take P to daycare so that A could get some alone time, but A wasn't having it P was walking to school too.
